Disappointing Experience: Damaged and Misdescribed Items with No Resolution
I recently received my items, but unfortunately, two of them arrived damaged, with large tears. I contacted Pak Mail, and they explained that the damage occurred when the items were picked up. I then reached out to Peachtree & Bennett to resolve the issue, but sadly, I received no response from their team. Not only were the items damaged, but they were also not as described. The lack of responsibility and communication from the company has been extremely disappointing.

Scam
Sellers of counterfeits and fakes!!!

It would help if you clarified this, Yes we sell counterfeits and fakes Many items are copies or even fakes and still have a value. Pay attention to the descriptions or lack of. If it is described as a decorative Print don't expect to return it because it is not an original worth hundreds of dollars It was sold as a decorative print. We do not lead people to believe Items are something they are not. If you buy an item thinking it is something more than the catalogue describes it to be. Read the description or ask our opinion. We do not described things as Tiffany or 14K or antique unless we are willing to stand behind it. Conversely if we describe something simply as a Mahogany Sideboard we are selling you a Mahogany sideboard not an 18th cent Mahogany Sideboard. If it is and we missed that fact good for you however we do not encourage you to do so.

BUYER AND CONSIGNER BEWARE!!! 15 + Negative Reviews!
In the three decades that I have spent in the antique business, I have never dealt with a more unprofessional and careless group of people. After having paid for my item, I was shipped someone else’s lot. I waited six weeks for them to get around to sending me a return shipping label. I still haven’t received my item that I paid for six weeks ago and the “auction” company will not return my calls. Unbelievable.

In light of the fact that the shipped item to which you paid for but did received incorrectly through our error and was brought to our attention by the buyer of the other very similar and almost identical piece. You were contacted and expressed you preferred not to return the item and would pay the sale price for the one shipped to you in error which was the more expensive of the two. We communicated this to the buyer of the one that was incorrectly shipped to you and he made it clear he wanted the one he purchased and did not want to sell you the you were shipped in error. We did not have either in our possession and you did not want to ship the one in your possession until receiving the other one even when offer a temporary refund until recieved. The other buyer after hearing this also did not want to return the one he had until he recieved his. It created a difficult situation which caused the items to be shipped multiple times. One that was created entirely by our error but was complicated by logistics that were not in our control.

Great Auction Company! Great Items to Bid On! Hard To Find Pick Up Location! NO SIGNS!
This is one of the BEST Auction Company in Atlanta! I have been bidding in their auctions for years. The one big problem with Pick-Up in the Marietta area is there are NO SIGNS of Company Name anywhere! Took me forever to find them! I saw a woman walking into a building & asked if she knew where Peachtree Bennett was? She said she was walking into it. BUT it took her an hour to find it. This is my only complaint. Everything else is great!

The pottery was damaged and not declared
The pottery was damaged and repaired poorly, which was not disclosed in the auction. I would not have bid if I had known.

We handle numerous items and attempt to note or photo all damages. We make and have no desire to hid damages it leads to returns. Once someone has pointed out damage not noted that affects the value we can not simply change the price without consignor consent. We can only cancel the sale and if as the buyer you decide you still want the item rather than cancel the sale that is your option

Don't drop a price on an item unless you intend to honor the new price. stop manipulating the auction in bidding process. set the reserve and leave it alone.

This auction is the most corrupt auction I have ever witnessed. they list a starting price. if they don't get it they drop price to sometimes half.. then you can do multiple bids where they manipulate bringing price back up. if it doesn't get multiple bidders they pull it out of the sale leaving the last bid hanging... no sale... It is folly and obviously corrupt.

Yes we do drop the price as most items we offer do not have a reserve and the starting price listed online shows automatically at 50 % of the low estimate but then actual bidding starts it is the auctioneers option to open it at a lower price then the bidding starts and the bidding may then continue if there are bidders to prices higher than the original asking bid. Thats why they call it an auction. Yes som auctions do not go less than 50 % of the low estimate (not our policy we want to sell it) We never withdraw an item once the bidding is opened and never have

I have bid In their auction on 2 occasions. 1st time a painting I bid highest on was supposedly sold the month before. 2nd time I won and was invoiced by live auctioneers for an item that was given to some one who was at the auction. I will be more aggressive against them if anymore of this happens. Frank Memphis.

My only problem and I'm sure it's not their fault; is that the invoice did not come through main email, but went to spam and did not know about my payment or cost until I received a email from live auctioneers on the 02/06/2018. and in that statement there was already a dispute filed. Trying to straighten it up this morning.

Comments are general for all auction houses. All auction houses should post more photos of what matters... know your products! Would be happy to give more detailed response if you need it. And in-house shipping on small items would be helpful.

Yes, on the February 11, 2017 auction I was shown as winning lot 301 a French Ladies Desk for $125 When I arrived to pick it up I was told I did not win it but it had sold to another bidder for $135 to an in house bidder. I have never had this happen with live auctioneers, auction zip, other online auctions or in person bidding. Hard to believe with the technology that this "happened".
