Akiba Galleries

Akiba Antiques, founded by Charles and Franceska Akiba in the 1980's in Paris, France started by buying and selling fine arts. Franceska specialized in French furniture from the fine Napoleonic Era to La Belle Epoque, to Art Nouveau and Art Deco; While Charles' expertise lay in European paintings beginning from the Renaissance to modern. These tastes perfectly complemented each other to build one of the finest duos the art world has seen. Migrating over to the United States in 1995, they broke into the American markets opening galleries throughout South Florida. Today, they have relocated to Dania Beach, Florida (Broward County's first founded city), owning one of South Florida's most intricate and exquisite antique malls with a dozen dealers, all with unique tastes for art, antiques, collectibles, exceptional jewelry and more.
In addition, their son Jonathan Akiba, working in the family business for 10 years, expanded Akiba Antiques into Akiba Galleries by opening an auction gallery with an eclectic collection of fine arts, collectibles, jewelry and more from all cultures of the world. Alexander Anapolsky, his life-long friend, came on board in 2015 to become a co-owner and together they have grown to become one of the top auction galleries in the Southeast US.
Auctions are conducted three times a month and catalogues can be seen 2 weeks prior on Akibagalleries.com, as well as the largest online auction websites in the world: Liveauctioneers.com, Invaluable.com and Auctionzip.com.
Consistently keeping up with market value, Akiba Galleries provides a unique service to broker art internationally; earning their consignors maximum value, while leaving room for potential good deals to their purchasers!
