This auction house requires you to make payment via their website, not directly on liveauctioneers (even though I provided my credit card information), and also charges an large shipping fee via their website. The most difficult process that I ever had with an auction house. New bidders, please consider these barriers prior to bidding.

Shipping with ARTA has been a disaster! The item has still not shipped after 3 weeks in in spite of over $600 shipping cost. Communication has been very poor & the link provided for the shipping company (ARTA) does not work. I still have no idea whether I will receive my item. DO NOT TRUST!

They contumaciously ignore the Illinois sales tax exemption. I have tried to get Hindman to remove the sales tax from the invoice because newspapers are not subject as per TITLE 86: REVENUE CHAPTER I: DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE PART 130 RETAILERS 'OCCUPATION TAX SECTION 130.2105 SELLERS OF NEWSPAPERS a) Sellers of Newspapers, 2) Sales of newspapers and magazines are not subject to the tax because of the newsprint and ink exemption They are being contumaciously obstinate. I have been ready and willing to pay when they correct the invoice. There is no exception to the exemption.

I received the firearm I ordered in Excellent Condition. It was shipped quickly and was packaged very well. I couldn't be more pleased with this transaction. Getting necessary FFL dealership info took a couple tries but not too bad. I definitely would order from Freeman's | Hindman Auctions again without hesitation. I can't say enough about Freeman's/Hindman. I had them remove the crappy frame from a great piece of art, which saved me a bunch on shipping, then used the savings to buy a much better frame. These guys are one of few, who just continue to try harder than most of their competitors. What else can we ask? When buying art, we look here first.

Expensive hammer fee, many calls and emails unanswered. They auction nice lots but life is too short to tolerate their lack of response to basic questions trying to pay them and get the lots shipped. It has been a month and no response to where is my winning lot. I will not be buying from them ever again! Not sure why they charge the amount they do as they sure don't earn it from supporting the buyer!

I adore the purchase but need to point out I bought this on January 31st and did not receive it until March 15th.

Love my Wedgwood bowl and easy communications with auction house. Highly recommended.
