Regarding the clock and the missing foot that I purchased from Hindman Auctions. As my e-mail to Hindman Auctions and telephone calls to Mrs. Diaz and Mrs. Klawonn reference, the clock I purchased is missing a foot. And I believe that the listing and photographs for the listing were misleading or poorly chosen at best. Although there is a picture of the clock from the right, missing the foot, and no pictures of the left or rear of the clock showing the foot missing, and with the stability of the clock being compromised, whoever took the pictures had to prop up the clock from the middle rear for the pictures. Therefore, I believe that whoever listed this clock at Hindman's may have intentionally misled the bidders and subsequently the buyer, or at the very least made a obvious error in not stating or showing the missing foot and small piece of wood attaching the foot to the underside of the clock. I am going to assume that if the one side picture in the listing, and specifically the right side of the clock, was to show that the foot was missing, as Mrs. Klawonn suggest, then a picture of the left side or the rear of the clock would of been posted on the listing to show that a foot belongs on the rear corners. Without these accurate pictures of the clock, I just assumed the feet must of been in the middle rear portion of the clock. And in addition, in speaking to the packer/shipper it was obvious to them the clock was missing the foot. And with the missing foot being so obvious, as well as in the antique collecting world, condition is everything, the clock missing the foot and the small piece of wood holding it in is a serious condition issue. And it should of been shown or mentioned in the listing. But besides that, it's a disappointment that I would receive the clock without the foot when the listing only states "Movement appears complete and operational but needs service as hammers miss bells. Likely later painted and re-gilded." Part of an email I sent

This was a very simple and flawless auction transaction. Communication was quick and complete. Shipping was exceptionally fast and reasonably priced. My pistol cleaned up in minutes and appears to have hardly been fired. Very pleased.

I asked for measurements and condition report. Condition report came back with no issues. But there was a repair on the front. And the height was 75 , but it 10 inches shorter. That was way off!!

3 weeks later, have not received my lots, and don’t expect them arriving anytime soon. Never again w/these guys.

I won an auction for a vintage shotgun from Hindman. Neither the photos nor the description revealed that the shotgun had significant rust. I will not be trusting Hindman again.

Hindman had such great quality images. Great on communication. They just seriously need better shipping options. I was given 3 options ranging on $200 to $425 shipping cost on 3 small items. I reluctantly went with the $200 option and items arrived in a monster huge box. Just a total frustration on these options and the waist of money on shipping that I would have paid 75 % less with other shipping organizations with other auction houses!

The length of time between winning/bidding and actually receiving your lot is ridiculous. A really terrible process. I can’t see myself bidding with them again.

Very nice pieces. These ocarinas, apart from one or two, are very beautiful. Even small objects are very cute. It was worth paying a high transport cost for France.

Excited to have won this lot. Beautiful piece. Because of truly absurd back and forth and horrendous lack of communication on Hindman's part, it wasn't until January 2022 that the lot was ready to be shipped. Also, not so crazy about the packing and shipping-sent wrapped in heavy duty plastic like a heavy floor rug. I'm breathing a sigh of relief that the packaging wasn't punctured or perforated which would have caused damage to the fiber. Excellent sturdy and likely waterproof wrapping but inserted into a good, cardboard box would have been ideal. Nevertheless, it got here safe and sound. Thank you, Hindman's. I still depend on Hindman's great inventory and the quality of offerings from this auction house!

After payment of my bill, I received another bill for shipping of $150, I thought there must be a mistake. I have purchased a lot of guns on LIVE and shipping usually runs $30 to $40 a gun. I realized I purchased two guns in the same lot thinking they would use a single box and the shipping would be more but $150.? WOW Thats $100 more than I would have figured and was a bit unfair. I did email them several times with no response.

Sculpture is as described. Good experience. I'll continue to shop with HIndman Auction. Thank You.
