Items were exactly as described and arrived very quickly. The packaging was excellent and the pieces were thoroughly protected. Great auction house.

Made shipping very easy as opposed to other auciton houses that require you handle all details of shipping. Also I was able to use my Paypal account which I appreciated.

I learned after receiving the item that the auction house had attempted to auction the same piece of art 13 times over the course of a year and a half. It failed to reach reserve, yet their estimate of value of $300-$500 remained the same over the entire period. I wonder how they could place an estimate of such after so little interest previously. Under the circumstances, I feel that their estimate was misleading.

I think photos should be scaled to size. In other words, if a painting is larger, the thumbnail should be larger and vice versa. All the thumbnails are the same size regardless of whether the painting is 4x6 or 19x24. That can be very deceiving. I read the descriptions carefully. But it can still be deceiving. I don't know if that fault likes with Live Auctioneers or East Coast Books. Otherwise, East Coast Books has been a pleasure to deal with.

I had a special request for shipping which the auction house handled superbly. Moreover, my request was personally answered and acted upon over the weekend. I did not expect to a response until Monday. I could not be more satisfied.

Unfortunately, the exchange rate (US $to CA ), the cost of shipping and the customs fees will prevent me to do business with US auction houses for the months (or years) to come... My 250 $(us) buy costs me more than 430 $(ca)! But this is not your fault. It would be easier though if more auctions houses would offer to ship items at raisonnable rates around the world... Anyway, my experience with you was great! Thanks again!
