The auction was on a Sunday and I received an invoice that included $82.00 for in house shipping which I thought was quite high. I have purchased steins from all over the country and the shipping charge is normally between 10 and 15 dollars per stein, not over $20.00 I called either Monday or Tuesday and paid the invoice by giving the lady I talked to my credit card numbers. I said that I wanted to use the UPS store rather than their in house. I then called UPS to make arrangements to have the four steins picked up and they said they picked up on Wednesday. Wednesday UPS went to pick up the 4 steins and Charleton Auction would not release them stating they hadn't been paid for. They said it was Liveautioneers fault and i said I gave you the card numbers not liveauctioneers. Now I had to wait a week as UPS only picked up on Wednesday. UPS went the following week and Charleston Auction told them they could not find the items. When I found out Friday the situation I called Charleston Auction and the same lady told me they had found them and that they would take them to the UPS store that day. She denies telling me that and we wound up having to wait till the middle of the following week. Between saying the steins had not been paid for and trying to blame liveauctioneers, then not being able to find the items and then telling me they were found and they would take them to UPS and then denying saying that when it didn't happen, I would have to say it was the worst service I have received from an auction house. NOT ONE WORD OF TRUTH.

I have been fortunate enough to bid and win in more than one auction with Charleston Estate Auctions. Always positive experiences and I’m looking forward to future auctions.

I have the most terrible experience with Charleston estate auctions in Mt Pleasant, NC. I bought lot # 349 from their action on 9/27/2020 on liveauctioneers (16 "Parian bust) that was packed and shipped by the auction house thru UPS. The item arrived on 10/7/2020 with a broken neck. I have tried every possible way by calling, texting, and emailing Mr Mark Bastian, the auctioneer, but at no avail and no response. I tried to get the name of the particular UPS store that shipped the lot at no avail. I finally submitted a broken shipment complaint to a generic UPS address on 10/15/2020 but yet to receive a response. Can liveauctioneers help??

Charged $48 for shipping. Poorly packed, the piece arrived shattered into a dozen pieces. The lady in the office very helpful. She gave me the owner's cell phone #. Called a few times, left voicemails each time. This person NEVER responded. Had to go through my credit card company to get the charge reversed.
