This auction house is local to me, so it was really convenient and cost-effective to pick up the item. People here are very friendly and efficient. The location is in an old brick building on a dead end in the urban west side, but once you find it and get inside, it’s lovely. And they ring you in by appointment only, for security. There are several steps up to the gallery — a consideration if your item is large/heavy. The one thing I would have liked to know about (which didn’t show in the pictures, and maybe no one noticed) was a bit of grime on the upper right surface of the painting like possibly some dirty rain had been splashed. No problem though as I learned to gently remove the dirt without affecting the oil painting itself. So all is well! Would do business here again without a doubt. They have many wonderful works of art and a long history here. Thank you so much!
