It’s on me for not reading what the charge was prior to bidding but still. I won a brooch that was $80.00. Size? 1-1/2 inch circle. Shipping charge? $69.95. And then when it arrived it was so poorly packed it was comical. Medium USPS flat rate box. A couple of crumpled padded envelopes thrown in. There was so much loose space in the box it was crushed on arrival. Thankfully the brooch was small and not overly fragile. Be sure to check shipping charge (it is in the item description) and factor that in your decision to bid/win. For that reason alone I will never bid on a Chairish auction again.

They tried to sneak in a charge for shipping that was more than 10 times the charge of the item. When I reached out to customer service, I was told that the order could not be canceled, and that the shipping could not be changed. I disputed the shipping with my credit card and reported them to the Better Business Bureau and they still did not change their stance. On top of that, the other item arrived destroyed. Comically disreputable. Please do NOT use.

Got as a Mothers Day present for my wife. She really loves them. Unfortunately, the shipping process is slow and didn't arrive until well after Mothers Day. Otherwise, well packed and nice stained glass pcs.

Suggest advising auction to provide extra protection to corners of framed paintings, especially for paintings with a known Framer.

The item I purchased came so impeccably wrapped that I almost didn't want to open it. There's no way like a bomb going off next to the box that my item was going to be damaged on the way to me. A good experience as long as you have a handle on their shipping costs.

My item cost me $10. When they sent me a bill for $38.50 JUST for shipping I asked them to keep or toss or give away the item because that made no sense to have it shipped to me. The refused and said I should have called and asked because they don’t disclose shipping at bidding. Problem with calling is I bid on item right before it sold. I didn’t have time to call them.

I would have have liked to have had a better description of both the book and the dust jacket.

I received my Picasso Print today and was very happily surprised to see the great packaging for this professionally framed print. If you had to ship the Mona Lisa you couldn't have done a better job. All the COA paperwork was neatly mounted on the back of the frame, Great Job completely 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

This is one of the two worst experiences I've had out of nearly 200 auction purchases through Liveauctioneers. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was the ONLY bidder, but Chairish unilaterally increased my opening/winning bid by $20, and could not offer a coherent explanation for why this happened. They also sent an invoice late, then almost instantly autopaid it from my credit card minutes later, before I had a chance to review it. Then, since the consigner is located about 20 miles from me, I asked they forward the consigner an offer from me to pick it up, to save them packing and shipping time and trouble. Chairish stalled on this (and told me various contradictory stories about where the painting was) but finally they apparently notified the consigner... and the consigner, contacted me directly and volunteered to drive it to my home! I met them and thanked them and they were the sweetest people, unlike the Chairish representatives. Finally, after the transaction was complete Chairish started sending me repeated annoying messages asking if everything was OK and if my concerns had been resolved? Sorry, Chairish, they weren’t, you could have actually responded coherently and credibly to my messages. Because auctions often have one of a kind items, it may not be possible to fully avoid Chairish Auctions, but my advice to other prospective bidders is to be REALLY cautious when considering bidding through them. Also, take a look at the other "one star" reviews of Chairish Auctions on Liveauctioneers. They have more than 600 (SIX HUNDRED!) one star/negative reviews, and counting. Take a look yourself. There are a myriad of serious problems described with this auction house, I’m not the only one.

It is hard to determine what the item actually looks like in life, when all you have to go on, is the internet photo. This item is exactly as it looks in life as it does on line. Thank you. I know that is hard to do. Who ever does your photo work, thank them for me, please. And keep them on the payroll. This factor is perhaps the most important one when selling items on line.

left many phone messages, never returned any calls. took a long time to respond to email messages. extremely high shipping amount and took very long to receive it.

Seller sent my lamp and shade with no packing protection in a box that was crushed. The shade was dented, but that is not the worst part. The shade and finial they sent were much cheaper, smaller items than the ones pictured in the listing. The only reason I bid on the lamp was for the large, paper shade and walnut egg finial. Then I received a tiny ball finial and cheap linen shade from Amazon. I have been back and forth with support for an entire week with no refund/shipping label yet. Buyer beware!
