Auctions at Showplace is honored to present an Arts of the Himalayas auction on Tuesday, June 9th, featuring property from the Estate of Joseph Lawrence Gardella. Assembled over decades, these artifacts and objects reflect his meaningful engagement with Tibetan culture and community. Many of the bronzes and thangkas were received as gifts through Gardella?s longstanding relationships within Tibetan communities, and the carpets were discerningly collected over time forming a thoughtfully curated group.
