I have the pleasure of being local and being able to pick up my winnings. Payment is a breeze and when I am ready to pick up Alejandra always has everything pulled with wrapping paper available. In and out at their Oaks Plaza facility, next to the theater, is also easy.

Lion and Unicorn is ALWAYS a pleasure to work with. They are professional, efficient, honest, knowledgeable, and include a personal "Thank you" note with your package. They also offer in-house shipping, at a very reasonable charge. I always look forward to and enjoy their auctions.

It seems like more and more auction houses are inflating the shipping costs of an item or items in order to get additional revenue. I love the Lion and Unicorn Auction House. I have bought many items over the years and they have quality products and accurate descriptions. I would rate them a 10 out of 10. My last invoice is pending but for the 9 items I bought (MAYBE 18 pounds) they charge me $150? I checked with my local UPS store to gauge a reasonable price. They told me 2nd day air plus packing and time would be $82.75 which is reasonable. Moving forward I will definately but from them again, but I also have to check other auction houses as well as E-Bay to see if I can get better deals.

Lion and Unicorn ships in house. My lot arrived yesterday. In my 38 years as an art dealer I have never seen weirder or less satisfactory packing. To appearances, they put the frame in the box and then filled it with liquid foam. The frame couldn't be removed from the box. The box had to be entirely cut away and the foam ripped, tiny piece by tiny piece, away from the work. The foam coated the frame destroying it. In spite of this packing the frame was damaged (on top of being covered with glue-like foam) and the glass broken. It was impossible to tell if the tears in the work resulted from packing/shipping or if it was damaged in the first place. This transaction was bad news all around.
