Shipping was slow but overall great experience

Worst company when it comes to communication and shipping. We paid for the tiles in June and immediately sent our credit card info for shipping, but they never responded. After months of emailing with no reply, I finally heard back in September when I bought another lot — they said they’d combine the orders but still didn’t follow up. It’s now been months, and I still don’t have the three lots I paid for. Extremely disappointing experience. As buyers, we’re expected to pay and arrange pickup immediately, but when it’s their turn, they keep the items and the money with zero accountability. Stay away terrible customer service and no respect for buyers.

Not satisfied

Lousy auction house-lousy people! Would NOT respond to messages. Broke my clock due to shody packing. Wanted my support to file fraudulent claim against shipper... would not, shipper played NO part in my rare antique clock getting broken... Twents poor packing did a fine job of it all by themselves. Very disappointed, I ended up with NOTHING!!!

What was sold as "old/antique Chinese Yixing teapot" turned out to be an imitation and definitely not Yixing clay.

This was my first overseas purchase off of live auctioneers and the auction house was very helpful assisting with facilitating my wire transfer, answered questions promptly and politely, and prompt shipping that was not over priced. I would not hesitate to bid with this auction house again!

Some of the watches were not working. I had to service all and found out that some pieces were fake the mechanisms were replaced.

You block me from bidding even I paid and received goods over two months ago. Still show is not paid until today

One parcel was delivered later, The auction house and shipper very prompt in replying to my queries regarding delivery of the item that was shipped later

I bought an Art Deco clock from Twents Veilinghuis and overall they were great to deal with. I received my clock and it was incredibly well packed to travel from the Netherlands to Canada. I was so impressed by the detail they went to to make sure it arrived in perfect condition. I will 100 % buy more items from Twents Veilinghuis!!

This company gives a very accurate description of the auction items. They are a pleasure to work with. The packaging is first rate. I highly recommend them. My purchase was for two 16th century plate. I am delighted with the purchase an will bid again with them in the future.

It is difficult and expensive to transfer the money to the auction house and there was excessive confusion as the accounting process. After I went back and forth to pay them. As I paid in full, I received another email stating I did not pay for the produce. Very disturbing and dissatisfying transaction.

All round great experience. Fast communication and happy to accommodate a last minute change of address for shipping. Lot arrived in good order, safely packed, and to be honest, fairly quick shipping from NL to AUS. Will definitely buy from this auction house again.

Check twice..

It has been several years that we shipped a large item from overseas. Many regulations have changed that we had to learn to get on the same page with the auction house. Danny did a great job in getting me through the process. Twents did a fine job in packing and shipping. It took some time and clarification but was well worth it.

The clock was well packaged by Twents for it’s overseas journey. It arrived with no damage and is working fine. A great experience.

Nice item, no problem in payments, raseonably good price on shipping, but unluckly for me a little mess with the sending... OK everybody can mess up, Thats human but I missed a little more dedication to costumers, it was allways me Who had to call them... Well, finally I got my nice item

Normally I don't write reviews, but this experience has been.. not normal. I have been purchasing from auctions now for probably 7 years. More than I should. So when something shows up broken, I know the drill. I always insure my shipments, but this company is coming off as shady. First I had to pay cash. Next, they chose to use their local postal instead of my recommended UPS or other major carrier. Next, the metal, I repeat metal item shows broken in TWO places-but the box has no damage and the glass shade was not broken that was wrapped in a bit of bubble and placed right next to the major broken metal lamp. When I took it to my usps to get a report, they filled my head with stories on how companies sell people broken things. Maybe it broke in their warehouse and they decided it would end up being the buyers responsiblity? I don't know. I am waiting for them to contact me and let me know when I will be reimbursed for a severely broken lamp that cost me a pretty penny once the shipping and currecy exchange came into play. I do hope they remedy this. I do hope they are not like the post office claims. BTW-the post office would not give me the paperwork to show they approved of the damage. They believe hands down, that I have been had. I have contacted liveauctioneers and they are also waiting for the result as well. Geez..:/

Very good overall experience was marred by the fact that the article arrived damaged. The packing was simply inadequate. The breakage clearly occurred during shipping, as the auction photographs were pristine. While the item can be repaired (if not fully restored), this was preventable and it's disappointing, especially when the auction experience was otherwise quite good.

Avoid this auction house, all broken item no value at all

Never has living with beautiful things been more vital to our wellbeing. Thoroughly enjoyable interaction with the staff, beautiful things waiting to be discovered.
