The shipping speed and care taken were both excellent. I had some questions for the seller and I received fast, clear responses to all of my questions. The items are even more beautiful than in the photos. I highly recommend Riverside Galleries!

I won this ring knowing it was a mass produced product. While it’s a beautiful ring, I arranged to have the ring appraised by a local certified professional that I use and trust. His appraisal has the Sapphire not at the advertised 2.69 ct. wt. but at 2.02 ct. wt. That is a huge 0.67 ct. difference! I was very unhappy to say the least. I will not be bidding their auctions again.

The description for this piece says it should weigh 16.71ct rubies and 0.69ct diamonds. The real weight is 14.95 ct rubies and 0.60ct diamonds. If you are unfamiliar with the difference between natural untreated rubies, heat treated rubies, and lead filled rubies, just know that heat treatment is very common and over 90 % of rubies in the market have some type of heat treatment. However, lead filled rubies cannot have any heat applied to them moving forward, or else the rubies will shatter. If a prong on the bracelet needs to be fixed, the rubies will have to be unmounted and then remounted once the prong is fixed. Value: Lead filled rubies still have some value, maybe $100/ct give or take, depending on your market. This bracelet would cost around $7, 500 retail (as of 9/13/25) in the Bay Area but resale value would be much lower, depending on where you sell it, maybe around 2-3k. The gold and diamonds will still have decent value, so the bracelet isn't a total wash.

Great Selection and Quality Merchandise

Received the Ring and I really loved it. Following a local valuation by a well respected, GIA registered assessor/valuer here in the UK I was upset to read that my lovely ring contains lab grown diamonds rather than natural diamonds as the description on the LiveAuctioneers website stated. I also learnt that the estimated valuation given on LiveAuctioneers was inflated by almost double. I feel like I have been conned by Riverside Galleries. I have learnt my lesson and I urge anyone reading this to take note and consider if it looks too good to be true, then be very mindful before you part with any of your hard earn cash! Having read the terms and conditions it is very clear that Riverside Galleries know what they are doing so I am sure this review will come as no surprise to them.

Shortly after winning a bid, I reached out with questions for payment settlement as this was my first time bidding. No one got back to me despite following up a few times on this platform. I noticed my card was charged a few times & then the payment immediately returned, which is weird because this was a high limit card with no debt on it & I did not get any fraud alerts. I reached out to Riverside Galleries (RSG) a few times asking what could I do to resolve the issue, trying to be proactive. They ended up filling a dispute & didn't even attempt to contact me!!! I immediately emailed RSG & LiveAutioneers customer service, providing screenshots of my numerous contact attempts. A not so helpful RSG Rep. named Curtis stated "I'm not sure what you were expecting from Riverside Galleries...", & was pretty frank in his response. I told him I expect some basic customer service. I never heard back from him (surprise) so I decided to call RSG instead. A much more kind & helpful rep named David took my card info over the phone & resolve the "dispute". I later learned my card declining was a protection mechanism from my bank that was easily settled. The appraisal that was included was from 2018 & is from a sketchy company called American International Gemological Laboratories (AIGL), which no longer exists. Their website is also suspicious as many of the links don't work and it's extremely outdated. Some info about the carat weight & other specs were inaccurate. Also, the replacement price was grossly inflated for around 16k. The actual value is around 6k, which is okay because that is still way more than what I paid but very dishonest even with diamond market fluctuations. Best play moving forward is to take the lower rage of the "appraisal" value and divide by 2 or 3 which will give you a more realistic price before getting another appraisal. Wish my first experience was better but still came out a winner! Will think twice before doing business with RSG in the future.

I am a buyer and I could not have been more satisfied with my experience. Excellent customer service, communication and easy of process!!! At first my credit card didn't go through (unbeknownst to me my wife had made a very expensive purchase and maxed out the card). Liveauctioneers/Riverside galleries worked through the whole process-patiently and immediately answered my questions. I could not be happier with the experience!

Riverside Gallery misrepresents the items they sell as they manufacture multiple similar inferior items and then use an old appraisal of a higher quality item to market the piece for sale. I have seen the exact same necklace and appraisal that I purchased on your site at least 6 times since I purchased mine just over a month ago. And there are several other pieces that are marketed and sold in the same manner. When I received my ruby necklace it was obviously and significantly different than represented. I immediately took it to a certified gemologist to have it appraised and the resulting value was 28 % of the value Riverside represented. Discrepancies from what was represented included smaller stone sizes, use of composite stones, low grade commercial rubies and significantly less carats than represented. When I initially contacted a representative with Riverside, he offered to refund my purchase price if I shipped it back to him or he would offer a small refund and I could keep the piece. I feel it’s more important to expose this firm’s practices to future potential victims and save them the same frustration I have experienced. I will also be reporting this transaction to the authorities.

This auction house provided items as listed with certifications for how product items were described-brand new-and came in lovely velvet boxes. I received the items about 2 days after purchase. I would shop with this auction house again.

This was my first experience with Riverside. The item was exactly as described and was shipped to me very quickly. Will definitely bid in their auctions again.

I bid on an item based upon the "certificate of authenticity" which stated the item was value at $41K. I won the item and made payment. When I received the item in the mail the "Certificate of Authenticity" had been change to $23K. I emailed both the Auction House which states they are not responsible for anything.... and I contacted Riverside Galleries for an explanation and they have failed to respond. I will now in the process of contesting the charge on my credit card. BE AWARE and check your Certificate. Thank goodness I printed the information of the value the day of the auction and the value that I received.
