I purchased an item that was described as "Konstantin Gorbatov (1 **********), in the manner of: on paper, 12 x 16 inches, framed. Konstantin Ivanovich Gorbatov was a Russian post-impressionist painter." The payment process was convoluted, and the piece not released, until a check had cleared. (Most legitimate auction houses take credit cards, even if they add a processing fee.) This was clearly so that it could not be returned. After several weeks, with my continuously reminding the seller that I had not received it, I received a recently and cheaply framed print. When an item is described as "in the manner of" it is meant to be an original work, but without a provenance or assurance that the artist actually did it. This is not the description of a recently framed cheap print. When I complained, the auctioneer made it clearl that no returns were allowed, no matter my dissatisfaction. I also was quite disappointed in Live Auctioneers who did not back me up on this. Stay away from this auctioneer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They said they were authentic art pieces when I inquired. But upon receipt, they sent goods that are computer/digital prints, and are not art pieces or even fine prints. I am asking for a full refund because they misrepresented their products. It was been weeks already but they are not communicating back. Very bad experience. Should be banned or even reported to the police.

People, Never even think about buying from them. Cheap prints sold here. No recourse of any kind. All set up to mislead you and rip you off. Mark my words, it's a warning!!!

Thought I was bidding on an actual piece of De Kooning art. Ended up being just a photograph picture on plain paper. Had to unseal the framing to find this out.

I have been buying art for 40 years and have never never been ripped-off like this group did to me from the payment to the actual piece of art that they represented as mixed media and is actually a print. Buyers Beware this auction site should be steered clear of seriously

This is a very low-quality print of the painting. I could have done a better job printing this at my house and saved myself the $300.

Initial description doesn't have ALL information. And once I got my art not only was it NOT an original, it was the cheapest of cheap color copy in a low quality frame.

I bought one item from RP Collectible but received an item from Wuhan, China, which is different from the one shown on liveauctioneer site. I have filled in a repeal to ask sending me the one I bided for or return my payment, but received any response yet.

After invoicing and payment, they did not send the item, and refunded my money. I contacted them and they said ‘ Our apologies but our consignor could not ship the item. ’ What kind of way to do business is that. I personally will not do business with them ever again.

Read the Payment and Shipping carefully.

I think in retrospect some of the items may have been overpriced with incomplete or misleading descriptions. I still have not received most of the items

Auction house never stated that most of the items will be coming from China, most of these items are retro’s and fakes. Will not purchase again from this auction house.

I paid a company in Las Vegas my coins came from China I'm questioning the authenticity.

PR was a little slow at first, which could have been for many outside reasons. Once I got ahold of them, they were very responsive. I will bid with again. Michael

The products I purchased were obvious modern forgeries, produced and shipped from China. This reflects horribly on the auctioneer and the auction house. I’ve made my final purchase with Live Auctioneers, and will do so, no more.

So to know how to rate it as I haven’t received anything yet
