I purchased 3 Platinum Record awards for close to $1200. All the awards had REALLY Bad Water/Mildew damage and I'll have to spend another $500 in parts just to restore them. No mention was made in the description of the items that there was moisture damage which was readily apparent even to the untrained eye. If I didnt like Dan Fogelberg so much I would have returned these 3 RIAA Platinum awards for a full refund. I will definitely not be dealing with these people again in the future.

Thank you for packing the typewriter reasonably. It arrived safely, though for the future, I would recommend stuffing "even more" packing paper to really ensure that the typewriter cannot shake left and right. I appreciate the attempt at tying down the carriage release to protect the escapement, though in this case it wasn't actually fully pressed down, unless the tie came loose during shipping; you would know the carriage release was pressed if the carriage (while keeping a hand to its left to support it) gets pulled to the left by the mainspring force, meaning that the escapement has successfully been disengaged. Again, the point of ensuring that the carriage release or carriage lock is engaged is to prevent a strong sideways jolt from shattering the escapement mechanism that regulates the carriage's movement as you type, effectively rendering the machine useless. The typewriter otherwise was fortunately unscathed other than some expected cracking to one of the rubber feet, whereby after reseating the wooden universal bar, adjusting the escapement trip, and flushing the pivots, the machine now types perfectly. It is a beautiful addition to my collection and is in good company.

I was able to purchase a vintage Niagara Marilyn Monroe lobby card that was already framed at an excellent price. The item was well described and in great condition. I was able to pick up the item the following week (after the holidays). They were very accommodating! I couldn't be happier with the service and my wonderful vintage lobby card! I would also recommend them for estate sales when in the LA area.
