I have had different people phoning me telling me dierent prices which does not make any sense and I am still confusied on if this is s scam or what I have had one price high and then its dropped by hundred s dollar Also I have had at least 5 or 6 calls saying different things This is awful way to run a auction house

It is handy that Ledbetter offers shipping, but the cost seems exploitative. I had a inexpensive painting on board-unframed, flat and less than 2 pounds, something that an ebay seller would have shipped for $10-20. The painting was wrapped in a piece of paper and put in a box with a few peanuts-The entire cost in labor, packaging and shipping couldn't have been more than $25, yet I was charged over $60. Ledbetter could offer this service for much less and still make a very fair markup/profit on shipping. I reached out twice to inquire about the cost, but after no replies, I simply paid the price.

My Aunt Minnie Adkins told me that there was a quilt top on your auction that was designed and made by my mother, Evelyn Newell. I got on and saw it signed up and was able to win the bid. It was delivered to me and I was so excited to get it. I unfolded it to look at it and the first thing I saw was a little label in my mother's own handwriting that confirmed the purchase for me. I am blessed to get this. Thank you so much.

I had no idea that the frame on my artwork would be a cheap piece of plastic. And that cheap plastic does not secure the picture... totally warped in the cheap frame. Looked great in the pics on line... looks like ********** in person. Oh well... I guess it's on me to have it framed properly.

Matt Ledbetter is a real go getter. He looks everywhere for original art and sells it honestly. If he doesn’t know providence, he will tell you that up front. He and his staff are organized. They are also fun to watch work if you happen to be in NC!

I won 24 items in online auctions through liveauctioneers conducted by a variety of auction houses; BUT only the items I WON in 3 of LEDBETTER AUCTIONS that have been paid in full as well as the SHIPPING COSTS quoted to me by LEDBETTER AUCTION SHIPPING STAFF/DEPT.-receipts of these confirmed payments from them I have received from them, YET NONE OF THE ITEMS I WON in the APRIL 15, May 12, & May 15 auctions have yet to be SENT TO OR RECEIVED BY ME!!!! This is ridiculous & totally unacceptable!!! MO OTHER AUCTION HOUSE HAS BEHAVED IN SUCH AN UNPROFESSIONAL MANNER!!! LEDBETTER AUCTIONS: SEND MY ITEMS NOW!!! No more excuses or delays!!! I called & talked to one of your men/auctioneers who answered the phone. Bottom line: he said ALL ITEMS were wrapped, boxed & weighed for shipping & would sent out for shipping that week!!! That was 2-3 + weeks ago!!! I expect to receive ALL MY WON ITEMS within the next 7 days at my home. If not I will initiate whatever action is needed to resolve this MESS with the “powers that be”, If this is how the LEDBETTER AUCTION HOUSE treat their repeat winning customers, I doubt if I’ll bid with you again. never received my item, in spite of making a full payment and then being charged the exorbitant shipping cost of $37.00 for one small paper item. Ledbetter Auctions ignored my emails, and never provided any tracking information as proof of ever having sent the item. Very disappointing experience, I've lost my money and would never bid at this auction house again.

Great experience. The item was rare. Special attention to safe packing. I would recommend Ledbetter to anyone and look forward to future auctions.

This Auctioneer chose to charge 70 + US dollars to ship a broken 8 inches doll valued at 25.00 to Canada. Stating it was Canadian Customs that was the issue and customs is paid once it crosses the border by myself. The cost of the item was 25.00 so wouldn't have created a customs need either. Choosing to just trump up big shipping bills because you have no choice. They are in the business of fleecing people on shipping because there is no process of validating their quotes. Misleading responses and no breakdown of charges leads me to believe they didn't know what item they were shipping when choosing their charge to me. Fraud.
