Being a repeat buyer should say it all as I wouldn't buy again if they weren't up to snuff.

These folks went well above & beyond what was expected!
These folks went well above & beyond what was expected! They had kept a well built crate from a previous auction & professionaly packed the two heavy stone pieces I purchased in it, all at no expense to me & they arrived in perfect condition! The shipper on the other hand was slow & missed two delivery dates.... it took 12 days to recieve the crate.

Excellent, reliable service
I've purchased from Medicine Man a number of times, and have always been very satisfied. The only criticism I have with the current transaction was their choice of carrier. Fed Ex had the package in its possession for 12 days before it was delivered. For the amount I paid, it could have been shipped Priority Mail.

Great auction experience!
I have a long standing association with Medicine Man Gallery and all who work there. Everyone makes every effort to make all sales effortless and as I only live 5 minutes away, whatever I purchase or have won in an auction is always ready for me to pick up.

Small auction-excellent gallery and shop
Medicine Man Gallery and Mark Sublette are well know fixtures in the southwest Native American arts secondary market. Their auction history is relatively recent having two events over the last year. While not as comprehensive an operation as Hindman/Cowans, Heritage, Bonhams and others, his auctions have high quality lots, with accurate descriptions and reasonable bidding ranges. The auctions have contained a surprisingly diverse set of lots, important photography, textiles, pottery, art and multiples, baskets, and even bead work. The staff is knowledgeable, will answer condition report requests promptly, provide additional photographs, etc. I have bid in both auctions with success in multiple lots. As it turns out I have been able to drive down from Carefree to pickup my items and they have been carefully packed as if they were going to be shipped UPS of Fedex. Mark runs the auction himself, which can be interesting and entertaining. His passion for the material and for the (primarily) Native American artists is clear and appreciated. Like many galleries, particularly for secondary market items, he has a functional website. But if you are in the Tucson area it is worth a visit, particularly to see his extensive collection of Maynard Dixon work and artifacts.
