Esquis NOT to be trusted!! Predatory business practices!!!
My order arrived damaged because it was packed without any care; plastic items were stacked directly against metal with no protective layering. As a result, the metal components are bent and paint chipped, and the plastic parts are crushed. Although I intended to use these for parts, the damage has rendered them almost worthless. When I reached out to Esquis, their customer service was aggressive and hostile. They demanded I return everything at my own expense, offering no reimbursement for the original shipping or damages or the return costs. Save your money and stay away from Esquis!

Item received missing provenance documentation
Item was missing part of the advertised and photographed provenance documentation. Contacted Esquis and had to follow up several times to get responses before being told item was lost/not available. LiveAuctioneers only allows 5 days from receipt for filing a claim. Advise any buyer to immediately file claim with LA Purchase Protection guarantee if something is wrong/missing to use their claim process. I trusted Esquis to solve the issue instead their tone was no big deal for not providing advertised elements. Buyer beware

Leaving for good after 20 + auctions with them
After 20 + invoices with this auction house over the course of a year, I've decided to take my business elsewhere for good. Here's my thorough assessment: The Good:-Offers unique antiques and artwork that can be hard to find elsewhere-Accommodates out-of-town buyers by holding multiple auction lots for consolidated pickup-Packing quality is adequate and items arrive safely (slow at times) The Bad:-Items are almost never ready at the agreed pickup time, requiring lengthy waits while staff gathers everything-Poor handling and storage of items-I've had one item damaged during storage (though they did provide a refund and offered compensation)-Excessively sticky lot stickers that sometimes damage delicate surfaces when removed The Ugly (Deal Breakers):-Chronic invoice errors: In at least 5 separate incidents, my invoices were miscalculated. When brought to their attention, the owner became defensive and refused to acknowledge errors until I had to issue an ultimatum and appear in person to settle all accounts.-Failed to secure won items: During my final pickup, I discovered they had allowed a consigner to reclaim an item I had already won, removing it from my lot without any notification or explanation.-Ignored confirmed absentee bids: In my final attempt to give them another chance, I submitted 12 absentee bids (staff acknowledged via email). They only honored 2 random bids and ignored the remaining 10, including bids on lots that went unsold. When confronted about this failure, the owner was dismissive and offered neither apology nor remedy. Bottom Line: If you bid exclusively through the platform and use their shipping services, you might have an acceptable experience. However, if you need any direct interaction with staff or plan to pick up items in person, I recommend looking elsewhere. The moderately unique inventory is not worth the consistently unprofessional service and operational failures that ultimately make the whole experience unpleasant.

Item was counterfeit
This is a lesson learned. Do your due diligence to confirm authenticity before purchasing. Brands such as Coach, LV, Gucci etc have been duplicated for so long that even the vintage market is not imune.
