an authentic lot.
This sculpture has a smooth time-worn surface. Its facial expression, precise topography of muscles, left-anterior pose of trunk and enlarged lower limbs shows it is another authentic LIONESS. It is a wonder to imagine how far away either by time or by distance this lioness has travelled from its origin to England and now on top of my desk. Expect more auctions of this house.
