We only recommend shippers-it is the responsibility of the buyer to make arrangements that are satisfactory to themselves, with the limited number of pack and ship businesses on our Island, and to make sure that those shippers pick up their items from us in a timely manner and not on Island time. Once our customer heard our side of this story-he wishes to retract his negative review. This gentleman purchased two lots of books from our auction. The books weighed over 50 pounds and took up 3-4 large storage boxes. We waited weeks for his authorized shipper to contact us and we were never notified by her as to a pick up date for any books. After our recommended shipper had arrived for the forth time. We asked them to take the many books-some that were 3-4 inches thick and contact our customer, who wrote this review, with a quote. We know of several auction galleries that would have informed their customer that such large lots-not picked up for weeks would have caused such a purchase to be forfeited. We chose to have a reliable shipper contact him.

Our local, recommended shipping company does work for several auction companies-even several on the mainland. We also wish that packaging, insurance and shipping were more affordable. Our customer asked for expedited shipping. we delivered his purchase to our local pack and ship company the first business day after the auction. Apparently, expedited shipping to a foreign country costs quite a lot according to this reviewer. We wouldn't know because we don't have anything to do with packaging. insurance and shipping.
