Mintinbox

This very nice collection of Matchbox Regular Wheels and Superfast has been collected over a period of approx 30 years. there are approximately 800 items which will be sold over the next 3-4 weeks in two auction dates. In this 1st auction on 30th April 2008, we will feature Regular Wheels. There are some rare models in the sale, such as 12 the Land Rover Safari in gold and the Cement Mixer 26B with the dark grey barrel and many more. There are original printing plates that were rescued when the printing works in Trafford Park was being demolished, one of the rarest plates is that of No 80, the Volkswagon Beetle, before the production of the model the director's of the company, the late Leslie Smith and Jack Odell decided to limit the range of numbers from 1-75 so the Volkswagon Beetle was re-numbered 25B.Also rescued from the demolition of the printing works were a number of boxes which were never glued or folded. In the Regular Wheel section we have included some Kingsize and other Lesney such as a small number of Yesteryear models. In the Superfast section which will be held on 21st May 2008, there will be more than 400 lots, including some very rare models, such as the 12 Land Rover Safari in blue and 75 the Ferrari Berlinetta in green plus many more. We have used codes from the Charlie Mack book volume 1 to identify the Superfast models. We hope you enjoy this sale!
