Counterfeit
Prior to the auction, Salt Lake Gallery was contacted with due dilligence type inquiries and they replied timely. However, after winning and receiving the painting, there was a question about the signature as someone had painted over an old signature with Jackson Pollocks signature using a different paint. They refused to reply. After having it professionally analyzed, it was verified as a complete counterfeit and sent back to them. * The 5 stars for shipping is due to LiveAuctioneers as they provided exemplary shipping.

They are selling forgeries from China
We bought a painting, it didn’t look right when we opened it. Sent it to an Authenticator, took them 5 mins to determine it was a forgery, probably from China

We strongly disagree with this statement. We have communicated clearly that if you believe the item is not as described, it must be returned to us for review in accordance with our return policy. However, you have refused to return the artwork while requesting a full refund. We cannot issue a refund without the item being returned. We take authenticity concerns very seriously and are fully willing to review any documentation once the item is properly returned. We remain open to resolving this matter through the standard return process.

The Painting Was Fake. They Lost the COA I Paid For. Won't Return My Emails or Calls
Do not trust this seller. On Kawara did not make a date painting on May 30 1987, so it's not a forgery, but a fake. A COA (which is supposed to prove that the painting is real) was part of the lot I paid for and they did not send it. The auction house sent a photo of a COA before I bought the painting. They told me provenance info that indicated it was the proper age, but when I opened the package you could smell that the stretchers were made of fresh wood. They stopped returning my emails. I asked for a refund and haven't heard back.
