it was fun and good comunication

I understand that when an auction house with a large number of items being bid on in one day can take a bit to get them shipped out. I would have liked to have seen on shipping page that it can take up to 3 weeks to ship items out as then people would know what to expect.

just what I wanted

I received a quote for shipping prior to the auction and at the time of shipping the price went up about 30 %. When I questioned the price, they told me there was a clerical error and corrected the price. I’m glad that I questioned the invoice for shipping.

Recently, I had the opportunity to deal with Thomaston Place on a auction purchase. I was pleasantly surprised to find a most efficient operation when dealing with the public. Not only were they quick in authoring an invoice but, they provided a system to connect the client to the operating platform and the paying agency. I would use them again.

Nice people to work with.

Three of the four legs of the sideboard were broken off. Not disclosed in the listing. Shipper claimed they picked it up that way. Auction house disputed that. Eventually shipper agreed to reimburse me for the repair. Said they couldn’t credit my card. Still waiting for their check.

As described, good communication, shipping? Very expensive. Not much choice, they are pretty much the only game in town, no local FedEx or UPS. Option of getting $275.00 back for a very expensive shipping box for a painting is misleading as it almost cost the same to ship it back to them. They need to get less expensive boxes. I have paid less for items from Europe.

All aspects of auction were spot on on. Very professional organization. Had a question about shipping and got to talk with a very nice person named Rose who was very helpful. Recommend this group.

Exceedingly difficult to work with. Unhelpful, unresponsive, sold an item of mine I’d already paid for. Beware, they use a misleading statute (which the refuse to justify) to sell your items while making it very difficult to receive them through the many hoops you are forced to jump through. I’ve spent six figures on Live Auctioneers and have never, ever experienced the difficulties this auctioneer creates.
