Items were as described, priced well and instructions were clear to pack and ship without issue.

I bought one small item and picked it up myself. When I called on the phone the lady was very nice. When I went there it was auction day and they waited on me very promptly. I thought the item, a watercolor, looked better than when I viewed it on line.

Not a great experience-the vase arrived yesterday with scratches, crazing and a chip that were not disclosed in the condition report. Their recommended shipper-a local UPS store totally exploited their association with the auction-charged me over $300 to pack a 7 "vase and ship to the UK. (The shipping element costs $60) The vase was in a single small box, with no lose fill and the vase was wrapped in large sized bubblewrap and was rattling around in box. Id not use again.

I purchased 3 items during the "height" of the Omicron Virus. I found the staff to be responsive and very helpful I unconditionally recommend this company.

It’s been almost 3 months. I won the item, paid for it and then heard from UPS that the item was damaged when they went to pick it up. All attempts over months to resolve have been met with nothing, absolutely nothing. A hate writing a bad review, but this seems to be the only thing to do to get their attention. I would totally love somebody at this auction house to pull themselves together and fix this. No one should buy anything from them until they do.

I would avoid the recommended UPS store for shipping. It took multiple emails and phone calls to get the UPS store to finally pick up and ship my auction item.

Packing/shipping logistics are very expensive and challenging. Poor communication. The only option they offer is a local UPS store which gauges $300 and change for a couple medium frames and they do not allow you to use your own shipping label. Communication is also poor and they are not helpful in finding solutions to the packing challenge

The owner, Pat and his crew, including Travis, Cassie, Ralph and Hippy are the best. Always ready to be helpful and accommodating. Quality merchandise from new to antiques. Highly recommend.

They have an agreement with a slimy shipper, likely with a kick back, from a UPS provider, this provider over charges you like nothing I have ever seen in my life. Not only are their fees waaay inflated, but additionally they over pack, with the intent of charging you even more for packing materials. $500 for shipping that should have cost $200. Items GGA gave them already packed, in shipping boxes from prior owner, very clear, yet they took that box, put it in a bigger box, then filled with bubble wrap all so they can charge for their box, and the packing material (at inflated rates mind you) instead of just slapping a label on the already clearly ready to go box. Plus they inflate the UPS charge, in some cases by TRIPLE!!! at $3 per $100 value, when UPS charges retail $1.05 per $100 (last time I checked)

The photos were few, distant and not in sharp focus. When I received the items here was more wear and deterioration on them than I expected. I'm not too upset about that because the prices were low. Also it took more than two weeks for their shipper (UPS Store 716) to ship the items despite numerous phone calls. They gave many excuses, like "the car was full" or "the person who takes care of that isn't in today." Received items 23 days after the auction.

Worked with them to arrange local pick up, and they were very accommodating.

Golden gavel was also and upfront but the shipping and delivery was horrible my package chain completely destroyed

I thought the shipping was excessive the problem was the packages were heavy and they used USPS. I know I bought quite a bit but it seemed extremely high and with a $15.00 transfer per gun it just escalated the cost. Fedex is much cheaper than the USPS when you are shipping heavier items. USPS is ridiculous.

I bid and won 4 guns. The Hawken (CVA was listed) was actually a CVA kit made by somebody who just wanted to put the gun together to shoot. Poor fittings all over, but the price was good for a CVA built gun. My other guns cost 25, 35, and 45 dollars. At the end of all the auction fees and ffl costs (for C & R guns) each gun cost me more than double what I paid. Needless to say I will not be going on that auction site again. Cost too much.

Won a used rifle. They took several weeks to deliver it. I made several calls to inquire as to when it was going to ship. They kept "taking a message" but after repeated attempts by me at communication, there was never any response to my question. Will not do business with these guys again. One last comment. Shipping and packing cost more than TWICE as much as I usually pay!!!

Initial contact was fine, seemed like nice people. My issue came with the shipping invoice from their FFL/shipper. The shipping info on the item page is very misleading as it is different than the info in fine print in the auction terms section. Its been about 3 weeks and after a few emails i finally got a quote/invoice for shipping the 3 firearms i purchased. As it Turns out, the shipping and handling is going to cost me more than the total invoice for the items purchased. I knew shipping would be fairly expensive but in my opinion this is just ridiculous. Fee after fee after fee. Then the shipper will only accept payment via paypal but yet charges you another fee for paying with paypal. Would never buy from them again.

I was very satisfied with the auction results and the service.

Although the lot was initially misidentified, the auction house assured me I would receive the item as photographed, which I did. The pistol and holster were extremely well packaged. The fact that Golden Gavel accepted credit cards also made the transaction easy.

Golden Gavel Auctions, LLC were fine. Problem is shipping of firearms. They use a shipper rather than shipping themselves. Fees are in my opinion, high. It took over 19 days to get my guns. I've never waited that long for ANY of my firearm transactions on the web.

Contacted auctioneer immediately after auction with payment. Was referred to a shipper (UPS store). Called numerous times about pick up and payment for shipping. Finally emailed GG about the delay. Items finally picked up about two weeks later. I was charged about $40 dollars to ship 7 small leather straps that weighed less than one pound! I requested USPS, but they wouldn't respond. Bidder's beware. Avoid this organization.
