This auction includes (438 lots) a large group of Provincial, Continental and English vernacular furniture including a Jacobean dining table, a George II style banquet table, numerous small oak and walnut tables, a George III mahogany occasional table with birdcage action and piecrust top. Various good English chests and French commodes, Quebec buffets and settle (in Palardy). A pair of grey painted fauteuils said to be from the ballroom at St Cloud, assembled set of turned chairs 17th century and later, several pieces of painted furniture a coffer, a Dutch table, and a commode. There are four poster beds, a good walnut stool, several clocks, long case, Regency bracket, and a rare and fine lantern clock from the 17th century. There is a considerable group of Majolica, Dutch Delft, and Faience. There is an extensive Limoges dinner service and early 19th century dinner and tea ware. Several good size chargers including two ?Peacock Feathers in a Vase", an Italian Archbishops' crested charger, a Marburg terracotta charger, a Chinese export charger with handsome crest. Good German tankards, Georgian style wine glasses, early Persian oil pots, a considerable suite of Webb table glass, and a green glass dessert service. Among the metal ware, there are two French 18th century copper watering cans, pewter chargers plates mugs and oddments and a good Lavabo with basin, a warming pan, a brass footman, a Spanish pair of processional lanterns. There is an extensive service of table silver a good silver coffee pot, a heavy Regency silver waiter. This estate auction includes art by Foster, Eaton, Hennessey, a pair of 18th century French School pastels of two nobles, a 17th century Spanish portrait of an ecclesiastic, an 18th century Venetian School portrait of a boy, and a Northern Holland School mortuary portrait of a boy dated 1601, to name a few. Of note: very good bear paw snow shoes and mid 19th C. Mohawk cradle board and Renaissance style irons bought from Paul Beau.
