Art+Object?s first major art auction will take place on April 6th and will include the contemporary collection of the Paint + Paper buying group. 2016 has been a watershed year for the New Zealand art market with some 29 million dollars worth of art changing hands at auction in this country, a phenomenal result for the local market underpinned by the 13.5 million dollars worth of art turned over in Art +Object?s saleroom, easily the highest for any New Zealand auction house.
