Plymouth 400 License Plate Auction

AUCTION SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE: In order to purchase a Plymouth 400 specialty license plate, the bidder must meet the following criteria: A) The license plate must be placed on a Massachusetts registered private passenger vehicle. Leased vehicles are also acceptable; commercial vehicles and motorcycles are not acceptable. B) The bidder must be the registered owner of the vehicle to which the license plate will be assigned. If the bidder plans to gift the plate to another individual, they must make note of this to J. James Auctioneers and Appraisers and the individual receiving the plate must meet all of these outlined criteria. C) The vehicle registration to which the license plate will be assigned must be in active and in good standing. The bidder will be required to provide the following information about the person receiving the plate upon checkout: first name, last name, street address, phone number, e-mail address, driver?s license number, and the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (MA RMV) full-service branch to which the license plate will be delivered. Payment must be received in full in order for the license plate to be delivered to the identified MA RMV branch and picked up by the winner bidder. Winning bid amounts are tax-deductible to the winning bidder, less a small amount reflecting the cost for the Commonwealth to produce the license plate ($12). Winning bidder will pay a $40 special license plate fee, plus $20 license plate swap fee, plus any applicable registration fees at time of pickup at the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles. The license plates will be available for pickup at the bidder?s requested MA RMV branch approximately 60-days after the auction closes. The auction closes on June 3, 2017. All proceeds benefit Plymouth 400, Inc. a 501 (c)3 registered nonprofit. Announcements made the day of the sale shall take precedence over online descriptions and printed matter. B. All valuations are considered estimates, and in no way shall constitute a warranty or guarantee of any kind. C. J. James Auctioneers & Appraisers will not deduct invoice items based on ISP or third-party connectivity, software issues, or buyer's remorse. Absentee bids may be arranged by calling (508) 746-8608 up to 24-hours prior to the start of the auction (Eastern Standard Time). J. James Auctioneers & Appraisers may execute absentee bids on the bidder?s behalf, up to, but not to exceed, their maximum bid amount. This service is provided as a courtesy to our clients and J. James Auctioneers & Appraisers shall not be held responsible for errors or failure to execute said bids under any circumstances. Absentee bids are executed competitively against floor bids, telephone bids and other live Internet bids. E. Due to the uncertain nature of bidding patterns it is possible for a lot to sell to another bidder for the same dollar amount as a bid left by an absentee bidder. If your maximum authorized dollar amount has been reached, no further bidding will take place on your behalf. The last bid recognized by the Auctioneer shall be deemed the winning bid. F. Telephone bids may be arranged by calling 508-746-8608 up to 48-hours prior to the start of the auction (Eastern Standard Time). Telephone bid requests will not be accepted the day of the sale or via email. G. Parties who engage in proxy bidding on behalf of another individual, company, or entity must provide J. James Auctioneers & Appraisers with a signed, dated letter that includes the buyer's name, current address and telephone number to be verified by the Auction House prior to registration. H. Providing false information with the intent to commit fraud will be dealt with swiftly and reported to the appropriate authorities. Negative feedback will be left for non-paying bidders. I. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject opening bids that are deemed "too low" (far below the reasonable estimated value of the property), and may withdraw lots from the sale at his discretion.
