July?s Antique & Modern Jewellery auction will take place during one of the hottest summers on record for the UK. Why not step out of the sun and gaze upon these beautiful cooling shades of blue. There is a variety of gemstones in this beautiful colour: tourmaline, zircon, aquamarine and sapphire ? of course. There are some lovely antique pieces in this auction, among which is a Georgian bloodstone chatelaine. This 18th century piece is comprised of an etui, charms in coral, a thimble and a pendant. From the Victorian period, there is a variety of elegant brooches, bangles and necklaces, including an ornate necklace comprising of foil-back topaz, split pearls and turquoise. The section of this sale has an impressive selection of popular modern designers. Chopard is one of the more prevalent makers in this auction. The Chopard pieces range from small earring to extra-large Happy Spirit pendants. Tiffany & Co. are also represented in this sale with items ranging from mid-20th century to modern day.
