TERMS OF SALE Purchased lots will be available only after payment has been made and our accounts credited. The sale will be conducted in Euros. In addition to the hammer price, purchasers pay a buyer’s premium of 22 % plus VAT of 4.31 %. The VAT can be reimbursed with proof of exportation. RESERVE The lots in this auction are bound by a set reserve price, determined by the auctioneer prior to the sale. French law states that a lot can not be sold below the reserve price. GUARANTEES The auctioneer is bound by the indications in the catalogue, modified only by announcements made at the time of the sale noted in the legal records thereof. Attributions were made in view of scientific and artistic knowledge at the date of the auction. Some difference may appear between the original work and its catalogue and online reproductions. However, there will be no claims in such matter. Measurements are given only as an indication. BIDS The highest and last bidder will be the buyer. Should the auctioneer recognize two simultaneous bids on lot, the lot will be put up for sale again and all those present in the saleroom may participate in this second opportunity to bid. PAYMENT The buyer must pay the full amount due (including the premium as stated in the conditions of the sale) within ten days of the sale. This applies even if the buyer wishes to export the lot and an export license is, or may be, required. The buyer may pay by wire transfer or by Visa or MasterCard. Personal checks, Paypal and other credit cards will not be accepted. The buyer will not be allowed to retrieve or have the lot shipped until all amounts due to us have been received by us and/or credited to our bank account. The buyer of lots identified by an asterisk (*) will be subjected to charges of 5.5% in addition to the sales premium and the hammer price. COLLECTION OF PURCHASES The lots not taken the day of the auction can be retrieved at the auction house in Neuilly-sur-Seine after 2 pm on December 20th. Please note that the auction house will be closed for winter holiday from Wednesday December 21st to Wednesday January 5th at noon. Buyers are advised to collect purchased lots as soon as possible to avoid handling and storage costs which may be incurred at their expense. The auctioneer is not responsible for the storage of purchased lots. If payment is made by wire transfer, lots may not be withdrawn until the payment has been cleared. From the moment the hammer falls, sold items will become the exclusive responsibility of the buyer. The buyer will be solely responsible for the insurance, L’Hôtel des Ventes de Neuilly assumes no liability for any damage to items which may occur after the hammer falls. SHIPPING & PACKING We do not assume responsibility for shipping lots. Under certain conditions, we may be willing to assist the buyer by providing an estimate from an International shipping company of our choice. Estimates are given in accordance with the size and weight of the object, as well as the shipping destination only after the lot has been purchased. Additional packing costs may be incurred. If agreed upon in writing before the auction, we may agree to work with other shipping services. We may not be held responsible for damages incurred during shipment.
