This important Asian works of art collection will feature an array of imperial porcelain, cloisonné, cinnabar, coral carvings, stone carvings, snuff bottles, jade carvings, jadeite jewelry, bronze Buddhas, figurines, textiles, Huanghuali furniture and paintings. <br><br>Headlining the auction is a pair of superbly elaborated cinnabar screens, early 19th Century, of hongmu, hardwood, mineral, black and cinnabar lacquer; previously acquired from Sotheby, New York in 1993. (Lot 134, Estimate $20,000 - $30,000) Another important highlight of the auction, exceptional for its size and distinctiveness, is a rare and extraordinary gilt bronze figure of seated Yogi accompanied by an X-ray record of the interior contents. (Lot 105, Estimate $50,000 - $60,000) <br><br>Other notable highlights include a splendid embroidered ‘birds and flower’ three-piece panel (Lot 39, Estimate $8,000 – $12,000); a finely carved large cinnabar lacquer square box, likely to be one of a pair, with the other one displayed at the Zhejiang Provincial Museum (Lot 325C, Estimate $6,000 - $9,000); a cloisonné enamel bronze vase, 18th Century, previously acquired from the Roger Keverne collection (Lot 104, Estimate $10,000 - $20,000); a charming large antique silver and coral amulet necklace from the Bead Museum, Arizona (Lot 245, Estimate $3,000 - $5,000). <br><br>This is an excellent opportunity for seasoned collectors and novices alike to acquire significant pieces to add to their collection.
