Antique Clocks, Circus, Firearms, Toys, etc.

This catalog features a variety of collectibles, antiques and artwork. A private collection of antique and vintage firearms will be sold along with other estate items such as vintage and antique toys. Also presented is our next session from a large private collection of antique clocks and selections from a substantial amassing of circus memorabilia. The clock collection centers around torsion, anniversary models and cuckoo designs. Examples date back to the 1800’s and include important names such as Anton Harder, Burdick & Bowler, Junghans, Jahresurhenfabrik Juf, Schmeckenbecher, and others. Featured in this auction is a massive, special order, hunting-themed example by Kuner that is almost five feet in height, not including the chains and weights, and would command the grandest of hunting lodges. This session of clocks is one of several we will conduct over the coming months as we bring this impressive private collection to market. A broad range of collectible firearms will be presented, ranging from antique muskets through important 20th century production models and including Civil War pieces. Manufacturers represented include Gusler, Springfield, Krag, Lee-Enfield, Winchester, Flobert, British Enfield, and many others. The vintage and antique circus repository includes souvenirs, programs, posters, original photographs, signage, antique postcards, cast metal toys, ephemera and much more. Major names such as Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey figure prominently, alongside an extensive array of lesser-known troupes. Further lots in the catalog present a varied array of antiques and collectibles. Particularly interesting are original signatures by important figures such as Theodore Roosevelt and Queen Alexandra, original artwork and works on paper by notables such as Herbert A. Steinke, Lawrence Beall Smith and Chaim Gross. Additional items include railroad lanterns, antique toys by Steiff, Buddy L and others, and a variety of interesting items.
