Fortuna is pleased to present IMPORTANT WATCHES, an exciting collection of vintage and contemporary timepieces from the most respected watch houses and brands of the world, ranging from Rolex, Patek Philippe, Omega, and more. One of the highlights of the sale is an exceedingly rare 1976 Omega Speedmaster Apollo-Soyuz, one of 500 limited edition timepieces created to commemorate the joint U.S.A. and U.S.S.R. space flight program. Other strong watch offerings that are also rich in history include a 1950s Blancpain Fifty Fathoms MILSPEC I, recognized as the first modern dive watch, and a circa 1966 Rolex Daytona Ref. 6240, the first known Daytona to be equipped with screw-down pushers (for enhanced water resistance) and to showcase the "Oyster" designation on its dial.
