SIGNATURE SALE - Saturday, March 9, 2019

The private collection of Michael Bertoias penny toys In the thirty years of building the collection, Michael never sold a single piece off the shelf. Taught at a young age from his parents, Bill & Jeanne, Michael sought the best condition examples he could find. An emphasis was always placed on articulated penny toys which had a whimsical style and nice motion. Only a portion of the collection is going up for sale with the other half being passed down to the next generation of Bertoia collectors, Michaels son Aldo William. The second half of the Frank Mohr mechanical toy collection Franks impressive collection premiered in the September 2018 Bertoia Signature Auction. A diverse collection by category, each piece has a familiar characteristic of mechanical motion. Extensive Fernand Martin toys, early American clockwork and tin toys, and beautiful Automatons will be sure to captivate even the most advanced of collectors. Part II offering of the Jackman Still Bank Collection The second offer of Douglas Jackmans still bank collection will be certain to attract interest across the country. An emphasis on paint and color is obvious upon examining the banks offered this March. Over 100 choice still banks will be presented at this auction, ranging from multi-color architectural examples to figural banks.
