Antique and rare books are numerous in this catalog. Among the earliest examples are de la Vega?s 1670 account of the de Soto exploration, ?Histoire de la Floride,? the 1587 printing of Wecker?s ?De Secretis Libri XVII ex Variis Authoribus Collecti Methodiceque Digesti et Tertium Iam Aucti,? and Priestley?s ?Experiments and Observations on Different Kinds of Air,? produced in three volumes in 1790. Additional rare finds include a first edition of Twain?s ?Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur?s Court?, in a fancy leather binding, a 1757 printing of Butler?s ?Hudibras,? published in three volumes in 1757, and a 1648 production of ?Biblia Sacra Vulgate.? Several private collections will be showcased. Antique Americana includes titles such as Morton?s ?The New-England?s Memorial,? published in 1826, the 1830 printing of the ?Abstract of Infantry Tactics,? and ?The Rev J. W. Loguen as a Slave and as Freeman,? printed in 1859. Rare natural history works are led by examples such as the first and second series of Swaysland?s ?Familiar Wild Birds? in elaborate private bindings, and Wright?s edition of ?Buffon?s Natural History of the Globe and of Man, Beasts, Birds, Fishes, Reptiles and Insects,? produced in four volumes in 1833.
