American Furniture and Decorative Arts

The NOVEMBER 10 auction of AMERICAN FURNITURE AND DECORATIONS offers furniture and decorations from the Colonial period through the Federal and Classical styles, to the Rococo Revival of the mid-19th century. Silver, ceramics, weathervanes, needlework, quilts and rugs will also be offered. Highlights include a Queen Anne walnut high chest descended in the Tower family of Massachusetts and a Chinese Export porcelain dinner service descended in the Boudinot family of New Jersey. Also featured is an extensive collection of fine American silver. Complementing the furniture and decorations are paintings and historical, decorative and Audubon prints.
