Waverly- Rare and Important Sci-Fi & Fantasy

Quinn?s Auction Galleries is proud to present at auction a collection of rare and significant Science Fiction and Fantasy. The majority of lots were amassed by Daniel (Dan) Breen, lifelong collector of rare, uncommon, and significant Science-Fiction and Fantasy. Mr Breen was the owner of Second Foundation bookstore, where items such as the first edition of The Dark Knight were signed. Many items in the sale were inscribed to him or bought directly from the authors. His relationship with this world extended into his personal life; he was friends with both Manly Wade Wellman and Karl Edward Wagner. The books from their collections featured in the sale come to us through Mr. Breen. Other items from his collection are a first edition set of Tolkien?s The Lord of the Rings, and an extraordinarily scare suppressed copy of J.G. Ballard?s The Atrocity Exhibition- of which fewer than 20 copies are believed to exist. Also featured in the auction are storyboards signed by comic artist Sal Buscema, art of comic book characters by Javier Cabada, and sericels of classic Disney movies.
