Estate from Red Gum Plantation & W. A. Ransom

This is a very interesting auction. Many items are from the Red Gum Plantation in Hughes, Arkansas. The plantation was purchased by Charles Rhea Ransom in the early 1900s. The plantation was passed to William & Levin Ransom. The sterling from the plantation is engraved with the initials of Levin Compton Ransom (LCR). The marble top furniture as well as the larger pieces of furniture are also from the plantation and are so noted. Sterling includes goblets, mint julep cups, many bowls & trays, flatware, decorative items, some are unique and rare. There are antique books, marble top furniture including chest, dressers, and parlor tables. There is framed art & posters, linens, Mardi Gras doubloons & posters, kitchen items, collectibles, nautical items, old brass compass, many chairs-some are antique & vintage, porcelain china sets, tea cups, plus much more
