Quinn?s Auction Galleries is pleased to present an auction of rare books, antique maps, and Americana. The sale features over 150 maps, atlases, and natural world prints. These include items by Hondius, Visscher, Bleau, Bessler, and Blackwell. Books include early printings, fine bindings, travel & exploration, and books signed by Virginia Woolf and Andy Warhol. The auction also contains a selection of small press illustrated books including: ?Frankenstein? and ?Through the Looking Glass? by Moser, ?Dorothy Lamour?s Life As A Phrase Book? by Janaczweska and Hudson, and Verve?s ?Revue Artistique? with pochoirs by Matisse. Quinn?s is also pleased to present a large collection of Presidential and historical items; highlights include appointments and grants signed by Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and others. Additionally, we have a second edition of The Federalist Papers from 1802, and a letter from Mary Custis Lee to R.R. Gurley discussing her final days at Arlington House before the impending Civil War.
