Asian Arts: Chinese porcelain & works of art
The second day of our two-day sale contains an important selection of Chinese works of art. Lots 624-631 are premium lots. Bidding for these lots requires pre-registration as well as the payment of a deposit. Online bidding will not be available. Please contact us to obtain more info. The morning session (lots 439-623) features a large collection of snuff bottles, fine jade carvings, bronze figures and vases, as well as cloisonné and lacquerware. Towards the end of this first section there's an eye-catching collection of Chinese paintings. The morning sessions ends with a first collection of ceramics which includes Yixing and monochromes. The afternoon session starts with the premium lots 624-631, which require pre-registration for bidding. Very important lots are most notably the portrait of Buddha, dated 1454, as well as the two blue and white lotus scroll vases. When it comes to blue and white porcelain, the afternoon session is an absolute must for the collector. It's our most complete selection of blue and white wares to date. Covering ten centuries, this section of the sale gives a comprehensive overview of the blue and white wares from the late Yuan Dynasty to the 20th C. In line with this, we chose the early wares to end this sale.
