Welcome to Barridoff Galleries February 2020 Sale! This is a charming sale to start the decade with a strong selection of Maine artists and others to fill the winter hours with a delightful variety of interesting pieces. The carefully curated contents of this auction come from a number of private collections, estates and art institutions throughout New England and elsewhere. This sale is well stocked with oil paintings, watercolors, photographs and sculptures from prominent Maine artists such as Neil Welliver, Connie Hayes, Laurence Sisson, Emily Muir, Stephen Etnier, Dahlov Ipcar, William Zorach, Bernard Langlais, Alex Katz, Eric Hopkins, John Laurent, Al Chadbourn and Waldo Peirce along with artists from away including James Bishop, Ernest Briggs, Arthur DiMambro, David Hockney, Joseph Gualtieri and Marc Chagall.
