The Old Barn Auction is proud to announce the Indian Artifact auction made up of the Dan Francis Collection from Cecilia, Kentucky & Earl Templeman Collection from Tennessee. This auction will be held on October, 25, 2008 at 10:00 AM EASTERN TIME. Dan Francis was a retired school bus drive and until his death in 2005, he oversaw the daily operations of his 300 acre farm where he raised cattle. Dan was a lifelong collector of Prehistoric Artifacts mostly from his local Tennessee area. He most enjoyed to hunt in the Douglas and Cherokee Lake areas in Jefferson and Hamblen counties of East Tennessee. Dan had found about 90% of his collection and is featured in Who's Who in Indian Relics Vol. #10. Earl Templeman was born in 1895 in Grayson County, Kentucky and died in Hardin County Jan. 2, 1991. He taught school briefly and was an early member of the fledgling Army Air Corp in World War I. After the war he spent most of his life in Cecilia, Hardin County, Kentucky. He was the long-time president of Cecilian Bank. He was a well-known collector for most of his life. There will be approximately 450 lots for the beginner to the most advanced collector. There is a 15% Buyer's Premium for all internet bidding. All items will be laid out by Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
