Asian Art
It only takes one item to spark a passion for collecting.
Waddington's is pleased to present 100 Objects in Asia, the second sale presented by the Asian Art department this summer. This online auction highlights objects from across Asia dating from the 15th to early 20th century. Highlights include three wonderful Japanese woodblock prints by ukiyo-e master Utagawa Hiroshige (lots 3-5), an 18th century Japanese giltwood figure of Bosatsu (lot 24), and Qing Dynasty treasures such as a rare pair of Cloisonné vessels (lot 92) and fine carved jade pieces (lots 78-81).
Many of the objects offered in this auction were originally purchased in the 1980s and were held in important private Toronto collections until now, presenting a fantastic opportunity for local and international connoisseurs to begin or enhance their holdings.
