Pre-Colombian & Ethnographic Art: Animals

Animals are among the oldest depictions in Art. Our fascination with them as spirit guides, mythical beings, incarnations, and deities has transformed over the millennia, however it remains an important part of our socio-religious traditions today. We look at the Mayan Jaguars, West Mexican dogs, Costa Rican parrots, Olmec ducks, Valdivian owls, Taino snakes, African leopards, Chinese Pixiu, and of course, the North West totem. All objects offered for sale have been legally acquired, are legal to sell, and are guaranteed to be as described.
