Prehistoric & Historic Artifact Auction

The Old Barn Auction is proud to announce the first auction of Two Old Collections. There will probably be 3 or 4 auctions. This auction will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 10:00 AM EASTERN Time. The First Collection comes from a Midwest Institution which is Deassessioning the material as it does not fit into their future. Most of this material has been in a warehouse & not viewed by th public for over 100 years. Much of this material was gathered in the late 1800's & early 1900's & never on the market. There are some wonderful artifacts that will be offered for sale. The 2nd Collection is the Samuel D. Dickinson Collection. Samuel D. Dickinson was known and raised in Prescott, Arkansas, he accumulated one of the largest and finest collections of prehistoric Indian Relics ever assembled in Arkansas. Mr. Dickinson, who died at the age of 95 in 2007, studied archaeology, and was actively engaged in that profession for a number of years. There will be approximately 550 lots for the beginner to the most advanced collector. We have added a couple of small collections of Historic Material to round out the sale. We hope that you can join us for this auction. There is a 13% BUYER'S PREMIUM FOR ALL INTERNET BIDDING. All items are laid out. If you have questions, or need extra pictures of items, please contact us at auction@oldbarn.com. INVOICES: Invoices will be e-mailed to all internet bidders by Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009. (WE WILL NOT HAVE INVOICES READY ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY). PAYMENT: Payment for all items purchased must be received within 10 days from SALE DATE.
