Important American, Russian and European Art

Trinity International Auctions is pleased to offer over 200 works by American, Russian and European Artists. American Modernist work is a real strength in this auction. Of particular importance are eight sculptures by Albert Wein, (American 1915-1991). Included are "Beethoven" (bronze), "Sophia Loren, St Tropez", "Fountain of Life" and the marquette for one of his greatest works, "Rhryne Before the Judges". The finished sculpture for this marquette is featured at the Brookgreen Garden, South Carolina. Other Modernists included are Rolph Scarlett, including three very rare pieces of his hand-crafted jewelry; four works by Emil Bisttram; a beautiful work by Irene Rice Pereira; works by Baroness Hillar Rebay and Karl Knaths and a small terracotta by William Zorach. Trinity has established a reputation as being an excellent source for those interested in acquiring or selling Russian art and this auction is no exception. A highlight is a work by Vasily Sitnikov (43 x 62 in) with a letter of authentication by Alexander Glazer. A perennial favorite is David D Burliuk and this auction features eight fresh works including a Florida Beach scene. Other important Russian Artists include Alexander Altmann, Konstantin Korovin, and Pierre(Prince) Troubetzkoy (2 pieces). Works by other European and American artists including Emil Grau Sala, Claude Venard and Michelle Cascella are also featured in this auction. A wonderful fresh piece by a Canadian artist, Jean Paul Riopelle titled "Sentier Pour La Mere" and dated 1956 comes from a private collection. And as we look out at the continuing winter scene from our New England headquarters, we are delighted to include Aldro Hibbard's "Mount Mansfield". This large (36 x 48 in), beautiful piece features a snow covered landscape with a covered bridge and a majestic view of Mount Mansfield, Vermont in the background.
