June Artwork, Antiques, Photographs Auction
Our first sale of the summer consists of an outstanding array of objects, most estimated below $1,000. We have a fine selection of Pablo Picasso material: drawings, prints, and posters; some very striking Russian items (Gontcharova & Larionov); a nice selection of American artists; many Old Master prints and drawings; some intriguing antiques; a wonderful collection of Mexican masks; and a broad assortment of vintage and modern photographs. Artwork, lots 1-803; Antiques & Decorative Arts, lots 804-951; Photographs, lots 952-1541. PLEASE NOTE WE WILL TAKE A ONE HOUR BREAK AFTER WE SELL LOT 803. We generally sell 175-225 lots per hour. Also please note that IN EVERY LOT THE STARTING BID PRICE IS IDENTICAL TO THE RESERVE PRICE for that lot. This means that if you place an online absentee bid at the starting bid or greater, are the first to do so and there are no other bidders, you are assured of winning the lot at the starting bid price. If you place an online absentee bid at an amount greater than the starting bid price, and there are no other competing bidders with a higher bid, you will win the lot at the starting bid price, not at the highest price you were willing to pay. The starting bid/reserve price is never higher than the low estimate of the item, though it may be the same or lower. Thank you for your participation.
