The Center for Art Law (the Center) is thrilled to announce that it will be hosting its second Art & Law Auction online with Capsule Auctions in February 2021. The funds raised through the Art & Law Auction 2021 will enable the Center to continue its valuable services to support the visual arts and law community including developing legal clinics focused on immigration law and estate planning for artists, teaching Art & Law Workshops, and keeping its monthly Art Law Blast free for the benefit of artists, students, scholars, and professionals worldwide.
This year, the Center will award participating artists 10% from the sale of their works, as a grateful acknowledgement and a modest thank-you for their generous support of the Center?s mission.
Artists, collectors, attorneys, and friends of the Center have generously contributed over 40 works of art and dozens of art-related experiences. The Art & Law Auction 2021 will feature paintings, courtroom illustrations, photographs, and prints by artists including Elizabeth Williams, H. Spencer Young, Amira Brown, Eric Parnes, Rebecca Perehudoff, Beowulf Sheehan, Heide Hatry, Mahmoud Hamadani, Harriet Kline, Miriam Dougenis, and many others. Among art-related lots, bidders will find legal consultations, artists? books, virtual studio tours, and museum memberships.
The auction opens for bidding on Monday, February 15, 2021 and runs through to Monday, March 1, 2021. All browsing and bidding will be conducted online at www.capsuleauctions.com.
