2-DAY FINE MAJOR ESTATE AUCTION

Hart Galleries' March Estate Auction will be a two-session fully catalogued sale featuring the memorial estate of Russell Kendall. It will include furniture represented by every major style and country, including the Louis XV, XVI, Empire and Provincial styles of France; Chippendale, Queen Anne, Sheraton, Hepplewhite and Victorian styles of England, as well as a number of examples of American styles. A 13-piece Queen Anne style carved and inlaid burled walnut dining suite, a banquet-size four-pedestal Georgian style 24 foot dining table and a John Broadwood & Sons walnut cased grand piano are also featured in this selection of fine furnishings. We are pleased to present an impressive array of paintings, watercolors, drawings, lithographs and other fine art, including works by Pietro Gabrini, Hudson River artist William Guy Wall, R. Warren Vernon, J.J. Enright, Joseph Paulman, Thomas Creswick, R.A., William Langley, Adrian R. Hill, Lucien Delarue, Aetrano Gandolfi, and many others too numerous to mention, together with an impressive selection of bronzes and marble sculptures. Also included is a fine group of objects of art, including porcelains, china, and crystal highlighted by a 92-piece set of Tiffin Palais Versailles gilt stemware. Also an excellent group of sterling and Sheffield plate - including a large and fine pair of early 19th century Sheffield plated candelabra and scarce domed venison dish. Other categories to be offered include lamps, mirrors, sconces, a group of carved ivory figures, and an excellent selection of estate and designer jewelry. Finally, a wonderful offering of estate and new Oriental rugs and tapestries will also be included.
