Vintage Posters Auction

The second of this years offering of fine and rare original vintage posters from UK based specialist auctioneers Onslows, the auction includes a rare group of White Star Line ocean liner posters a recently attic find from Ireland. Two rarely seen John Piper lithographs entitled Nursery Frieze I and II the unsigned autolithographs date from 1936. There are a great selection of British travel posters the highlight being Fortunino Matania's London Midland and Scottish Railway poster Southport, a wonderfully evocative Art Deco scene of evening theatre goers from circa 1938. As usual we offer a good selection of WW1 and 2 propaganda posters including designs by H M Bateman, Fougasse, and McKnight Kauffer and Frank Brangwyn and much more.
