The Hotel Belvedere - Contents Sale

After over 35 years as one of Kingston's most magnificent hotels, Donna Mallory, owner of Hotel Belvedere in Kingston has taken the last reservation and decided to retire. The Belvedere has been a home away from home for countless travelers, business executives and dignitaries, all hoping that their favourite room would be available upon reservation. The late Victorian Period hotel boasts 20 unique rooms, each decorated by Donna and her life partner Ian Walsh with antique furniture and accessories spanning the Victorian Period to Art Deco, reminding travels of a time of elegance and style that is seldom on offer in our modern disposable society. Upon arrival at the hotel, you grip the gleaming brass railings, climb the 150-year-old stone stairs, enter the grand vestibule, greeted by the Victorian cast iron planter bursting with a bouquet of the season. Walking down the marble hall you peek into the most elegant of lounges where coffee and English muffins would be brought to your favorite breakfast chair in the morning. Check-in was always gracious and accommodating. Opening the door to your room was forever an inspiring moment. The period furniture placed with the greatest of care, the bed made to perfection. Pridham's Auctions and Appraisals is pleased to offer the lifetime collection of Donna Mallory and Ian Walsh. The contents will be sold room by room through a live online only (webcast) auction on Hibid.com and Liveauctioneers.com. The items will remain at the Hotel, the sale will be held on the 26th of June at 10:00am. Please read very important information regarding picking up purchases and DEADLINES under our "Terms" or "Shipping/Pick up" instructions.
