Splendor | Part Two - Day 2

On Saturday, Day 2 of our Summer Weekend Auction, we present paintings by William Merritt Chase, Joseph DeCamp, William Bradford, James Buttersworth, William Hart, Francis Silva, Jervis McEntee, Maurice Utrillo, Alfred Bricher, Pierre Renoir, Grandma Moses, and many others; plus collections of fine ship paintings, a group of Old Master works and 16th ? 18th century Continental sculpture. Two important clocks by David Wood, Newburyport, MA will be sold, along with an 18th Century Benjamin Willard tall clock. The folk art/marine category includes a copper full body codfish form weathervane and a group of scrimshaw decorated whale teeth. A large selection of Chinese items features a bronze Shang Dynasty ritual ?Jue? pitcher. Early military items, Italian maiolica pottery, oriental carpets, antique furniture and early silver round out the day?s offerings.
